Company Nissan announced the development of new dual-fuel injection, which, according to representatives from automakers, would improve the fuel efficiency of gasoline engines of the small volume of about four per cent. As stated in the official press release, this technology would be called Dual Injector System and will appear in cars Nissan next year.
A feature of the new system is the fuel injection through the two nozzles in each cylinder, the fuel is sprayed more evenly, which reduces the amount of unburnt fuel and reduce carbon dioxide emissions. In addition, the engine with Dual Injector system will be equipped with continuous variable valve timing on the production and use in the catalyst are less than half of rare metals.
The new Nissan system is similar to direct injection, which, according to representatives of Japanese companies, inefficient use of engines for small volume, since it requires installation of the fuel pump, high pressure, which complicates the design of the engine and udorozhaet. In Nissane "clarify that the units with the Dual Injector System cheaper analogues with conventional direct injection of about 60 per cent.
